Motivational Monday

Motivation Monday- Be Patient

Be Patient with Yourself. Nothing Blooms All Year

I have been doing these motivational quotes for sometime on social media, but I’ve decided to add them to my blog, as well. You can find a full list of them here.

We all need encouragement from time to time, especially on a Monday. The thing is life is hard. Super hard. And it just never stops. There is no pause button, so we have to learn to encourage each other.

So for these posts, I will post the picture and share with you why it resonates with me and then I’ll invite you to share, if it resonates with you.

Be Patient with Yourself Quote

Need some motivation, remember this: Be patient with yourself. Nothing in nature blooms all year.

Be Patient with Yourself Meaning

I’ve been out of school for a couple of years and its really hard not to compare my journey with others. Whether it’s LinkedIn or Facebook, we are constantly bombarded with the success of others. My weakness is LinkedIn because not only my friends, but people in the same field as I am, are constantly accomplishing the things that I wish I was accomplishing. SOMETIMES, on Facebook they’ll talk about their crappy day or say how tired they are, but on LinkedIn, it’s about success, connections and accomplishments.

It’s easy to compare ourselves to others and with social media, it’s especially easy to think people’s successes happened over night, but that’s not true. At the end of the day, we have no idea how long they’ve been dreaming of opening their own store or how much networking and effort it took to make that happen. Nor, do we know the price they continue to pay to keep those successes. Our season will come. Sometimes, we need cooler weather or sometimes warmer, but we have to be patient because our time will come.

So this week, let’s be patient and mindful of the negative emotions when we see the success of others. Be happy for them and use that positive energy to get to your next step. Take comfort in knowing that even beautiful flowers have a dark period, they have a time to hide back to save energy in the spring.

Remember to be patient with yourself, nothing in nature blooms all year long.

Best,

Kayla
